Guesthouse Accommodation
If you arrive in Ketambe from Kutacane you will realize the local restaurant on the left and opposite a small shop. About 150 meters further on the left side you will find the Friendship Guesthouse. Watch the sign. Our property is situated between the only paved road and the parallel flowing river Alas. The distance between the road and the river is about 100 meters.
For accommodation we offer 3 attached concrete bungalows (A-B-C), 3 stand-alone wooden bungalows (1-2-3) and 2 attached concrete bungalows (4-5). Each bungalow has its own attached bathroom. Bungalows C and 4 have 2 single beds. All other bungalows are equipped with a double sized spring-bed. In all wooden and concrete bungalows a fan and mosquito nets are available. Unique in Ketambe: Since 2023 a swimming pool for kids (5,00 m x 3,50 m x 0,80 m) is available for free.
The wooden bungalows (1-2-3) were built between 2008 and 2011 in the typical style on stilts with a corrugated sheet roof. Each of them is painted in a different color (blue, green, yellow). Bungalows 1 and 3 were renovated in 2023 and have got new roofs.
Each wooden bungalow (size is 3,50 x 4,00 m) is equiped with a double sized bed and a concrete and tiled bathroom (2,50 x 1,50 m) with western style toilet and Indonesian style shower (mandi).
In front of the bungalow is the terrace (4,00 x 1,50 m) with table and wooden bench and the possibility to set a hammock. Concrete walkways from the restaurant to the bungalows and down to the river were built in 2017. Food and drinks can be ordered at the restaurant. Room service is available.
The concrete bungalows (A-B-C) were built in 2017 and have large rooms (5,50 x 4,50 m) with a tiled floor. They have received a new interior coat of paint in 2022. The attached bathrooms are equipped with tiles on the floor and at walls, a mirror, bracket and a towel rail, a western style toilet and a shower with cold water.
For the double bed (in A and B) and the 2 single beds (in C) mosquito nets are available. The rooms have a fan, a small cabinet, a rack for clothes and hooks. In front of the bungalow is the terrace (5,50 x 1,50 m) with rattan table and rattan armchairs.
The newest concrete bungalows (4-5) were built in 2019. For this the simple older wooden rooms 4-5 where reconstructed. During the older bathroom was inside the room, now it is attached, which gives the complete space of the room (4,00 x 3,50 m) as living and sleeping room. The bathroom was built completely new and is now equipped as the other concrete bungalows (A-B-C) with tiles on the floor and at walls, mirror, bracket and a towel rail, a western style toilet and a shower with cold water. Bungalow 4 is equipped with 2 single beds, bungalow 5 has a double bed. Both bungalows have mosquito nets, a fan, a small cabinet, a rack for clothes and hooks. In front of the room there is a small terrace (4,00 x 1,50 m).
The price for one stand-alone wooden bungalow (No. 1, 2, 3) is 150,000 IDR per night. For the larger and newer concrete bungalows (No. A, B, C, 4, 5) with western shower the price is 200,000 IDR per night. All rooms and bungalows are suitable for one or two people.
In all bungalows its possible to put an extra mattress on the floor for a 3rd person. It costs 80,000 IDR extra. Prices for rooms/bungalows do not include breakfast. You can get breakfast in our restaurant.
It is recommended to book accommodation in advance, especially in the high season July, August and December.
